PART III
Modern Christians who are in search of the correct doctrine to believe in, are aghast and horrified at the thought that the Bible was purposely designed so that anyone could prove almost any doctrine by using the scriptures -- or that the scriptures contain narratives that are not historically accurate. Modern believers will rightly ask: If what is written in the scriptures is not a faithful portrayal of the historical events that transpired, then of what value are they? This type of thinking is carnal, and is the result of anti-Gnostic thinking -- i.e., tell me what to believe, so I can be on the right side of God. The problem is that man can never be on the right side of God until he returns home to the Kingdom. Belief, or faith, then, is not part of the equation where these things are independent of man's efforts to walk in The Way. If you do not pick up your own cross and follow in the footsteps of the Lord, then you are neither a genuine believer or a person of sincere faith.

Over the course of the first three centuries there were Christians who believed that Jesus did not even have a physical nature. Because his body was in fact a perfected physical nature, it could be said that if Jesus was to appear physically before us, what we would see would be a projection that originates in the realm of higher spiritual reality. When the Bible states of Jesus that: “But passing through their midst, He went His way” (Luke 4:30 NAS) -- what is being conveyed is that he simply became invisible by retracting his physical form that was projected into this realm, and departed from the crowd that was intent on killing him. A soul of his stature who has conquered and perfected the Laws of God within him, has this type of power that is beyond the comprehension of natural organic man in his carnal state of being.

DOCTRINE
OF THE EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH
In the approximate year of 178 of our Common Era, Celsus, the Epicurean Philosopher and opponent of Christianity, published a rather embarrassing work in opposition to Christianity known as The True Word or Discourse. It is said that this work was widely published and used by the Pagan world as an attack on the Church. Seventy years after its publication The True Word was still so widely circulated, that the Church Father Origen was commissioned by St. Ambrosius to refute this attack by Celsus.
In our modern day it can be said that this reply by the Church Father Origen is even more important than when it was written. Why? Because the majority of Christians today have been so disenfranchised from the essence of the teachings of The Way that Jesus taught, that it is as if they are practicing a different religion. Because they view life from a quasi-Darwinist perception -- and their minds have been trained by the secular philosophers of our day to limit their thinking to a counterfeit three-dimensional perception of Creation -- they remain helplessly lost, repeating scriptural verses that has little meaning to their present secularized state of mind.
