The Essene Foundation Of Judaism And Christianity

The Essene Foundation Of Judaism And Christianity: When Dead Sea Scroll expert Prof. John Allegro questioned the “…the source and originality of Christian doctrine”, what he also should have stated is that the Old Testament is not the Jewish scriptures, and the modern Christian has virtually nothing in common with the Original Gospel Teachings that were suppressed and even outlawed by the Church.  When rightly understood, what Prof. Allegro said about the Christians, equally applies to the Jews — both of which have virtually nothing in common with their True Spiritual Source.  Further, the fact that the many Christian view the Jews as the Chosen People of God and the forerunners of what has come to be portrayed as the Gospel teachings, in fact demonstrates their own blindness to the true spiritual meaning of the scriptures.   Moreover, in the following subheading (see The Books With The Power To Deceive), I will demonstrate that in accord with the statements of the Apostle Peter, the belief that the Jews are the Chosen People of God can be portrayed as one of the primary “bad beliefs about God” that totally undermines the Gentiles from a true understanding of the scriptures and the Gospel teachings.  When the scriptures are spiritually understood, the Jews are a symbol of abject failure — i.e., they worship a Demiurge of their own creation — they worship God in an opposite manner to what is required — and in numerous ways, they are the epitome of spiritual failure.   And it is the imitation and adoption of the mindset and ways of the Jews in the throwing away of the Key of Knowledge, that has anchored modern Christians in a self-imposed Diaspora of abject spiritual ignorance.  And while in answer to their prayer for greater knowledge and understanding, the leaders and authorities of the Church have ignored and even rejected what the Hand of God has provided them.

In the `next subheading I will demonstrate that the vast majority of what Peter portrays as “bad beliefs about God” that has anchored Christianity to a self-imposed Diaspora of Abject Ignorance is because of the reading of the Torah and Old Testament.    What can be portrayed as “bad beliefs about God”, is one of the greatest causes of arrested mental and spiritual development.

If we pose the question: What is the True Source of the (Old and New Testament) scriptures and the Gospel teachings?  It is important to understand that the original scriptures possessed the innate power to free and transform the individual seeker/disciple.  How?  This innate power was embedded into the Living Language they were composed in.  And the language that the scriptures were originally written in, reveals a great truth with respect to the true source of both the Old and New Testaments that is not at all understood today.  Among the Dead Sea Scrolls was found copies of the Torah and Old Testament written in Biblical Hebrew Characters — and when the connection between the Essenes and Therapute are understood with the Ebionite Nazirenes, the use of Hebrew Characters which was the native language that the original Gospels were composed in, was merely a continuation of the Living Spiritual Language of the scriptures (see above The Original Spiritual Language Of The Gospels ).   What language was the original Gospels composed in?  Of the Hebrew originals Gibbon writes in the Decline And Fall Of The Roman Empire: “the fact is attested by a chain of fathers – Papias, Irenaeus, Origen, Jerome, etc… But this Hebrew Gospel of St. Matthew is most unaccountably lost; and we may accuse the diligence or fidelity of the primitive churches, who have preferred the unauthorized version of some nameless Greek”. Gibbon rightfully calls our copy of Matthew the “unauthorized version of some nameless Greek”, because the only true Gospel attributed to Matthew is the original Hebrew version written in Hebrew Characters — and the original Gospels were never given to the Gentile Church, and we no longer possess today.  In like manner, there is sufficient evidence to conclude that all of the original — more spiritual — signatures of the gospels were written in Hebrew. This fact is acknowledged by Montague Rhodes James in his book, The Apocryphal New Testament, when he wrote: “Epiphanius goes on to say that he had heard of Hebrew Versions of John and Acts kept privately in the treasuries (Geniza) at Tiberias” (see Original Gospels Written In Biblical Hebrew Characters).

When the question is posed: How much does the modern Church have in common with the original Gospel teachings?   Perhaps this can be gauged by a recent interview with Pastor Brian McLaren who made the rather profound statement: “One of the problems is that the average Christian in the average church who listens to the average Christian broadcasting has such an oversimplified understanding of both the Bible and of church history – it would be deeply disturbing for them to really learn about church history.”   And truth be told, it can easily be demonstrated that the core purpose and objectives of the original Gospel teachings are so radically different than what is preached from our pulpits today, that the Gospel of the first century would be condemned as heresy if it was presented to a modern congregation of believers.   And while Brian McLaren is correct in his assertion that the congregation of believers have been largely kept in the dark, the biblical scholars understood this fact – and this is demonstrated in the words of A. Powell Davies: “Biblical scholars were not disturbed by what they found in the Dead Sea Scrolls because they had known all along that the origin of Christianity was not what was commonly supposed to have been” (quoted by Millar Burrows in More Light on the Dead Sea Scrolls).   If it is true that the origin of Christianity is not what is commonly supposed to be, then what is the true source?  Worse yet, Edmund Wilson, an expert who worked on the Dead Sea Scrolls further raised the question as to what difference it makes if “Jesus… had been trained in the discipline and imbued with the thought of a certain Jewish sect, and that he had learned from it the role that he afterwards lived…” (The Scrolls From The Dead Sea).  To the uninformed and unknowing believer, it made all the difference in the world!   And when Prof. John Allegro was quoted as saying that what has been revealed in the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls is a great amount of overwhelming evidence that “…may upset a great many basic teachings of the Christian Church.   This in turn would greatly upset many Christian Theologians and believers.   The heart of the matter is, in fact, the source and originality of Christian doctrine” (August 1966 issue of Harpers Magazine).   What all the many recent archaeological discoveries have confirmed and demonstrated is that Prof. Allegro was correct in his assertion that our modern-day understanding of the source and originality of Christian doctrine” is gravely flawed.   Why?   Because neither the original teachings or the corrupted scriptures simply does not support the tenets and structure of an organized dogmatic church as we have today.   In the words of Prof. Elaine Pagles, in her book, The Gnostic Gospels:  It is the winners who write history – their way.   No wonder, then, that the viewpoint of the successful majority has dominated all traditional accounts of the origin of Christianity… It suggests that these religious debates – questions of the nature of God, or of Christ – simultaneously bear social and political implications that are crucial to the development of Christianity as an institutional religion.  In simplest terms, ideas which bear implications contrary to that development come to be labeled as heresy; ideas which implicitly support it become orthodox”.

The above statement by Edmund Wilson that  “Jesus… had been trained in the discipline and imbued with the thought of a certain Jewish sect, and that he had learned from it the role that he afterwards lived…”, is in fact parallel to the statement in the Encyclopedia Britannica where it is written: “Most of the features of Ebionite doctrine were anticipated in the teachings of the earlier Qumran sect, as revealed in the Dead Sea Scrolls. They believed in one God and taught that Jesus was the Messiah and was the true prophet mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:15. They rejected the Virgin Birth of Jesus, instead holding that he was the natural son of Joseph and Mary. The Ebionites believed Jesus became the Messiah because he obeyed the Jewish Law. They themselves faithfully followed the Law, although they removed what they regarded as interpolations in order to uphold their teachings, which included vegetarianism, holy poverty, ritual ablutions, and the rejection of animal sacrifices. The Ebionites also held Jerusalem in great veneration” (Encyclopedia Britannica ).   The acknowledgement of biblical scholars and the Britannica not only demonstrated the important connection between the Essenes and Therapute with the Ebionite Nazirenes, but also the fact that in the same way that the Essenes used Biblical Hebrew Characters in the composition of their scriptures, these same authors also created the Original New Covenant Gospels in Biblical Hebrew Characters.   Add to this the statement in the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Gibbon notes that the teachings of Jesus was “…embraced by great numbers of the Therapeutae, or Essinians…”, and wrote that: “Le Clerc (Hist. Ecclesiast p. 477, 535) seems to have collected from Eusebius, Jerome, Epiphanius, and other writers, all the principle circumstances that relate to the Nazarenes or Ebionites. The nature of their opinions soon divided them into a stricter and milder sect; and there is some reason to conjecture that the family of Jesus remained members, at least, of the latter and more moderate party”.

The scriptures were composed and authored by a highly evolved spiritual community of mystics and visionaries.  It is documented that they were strict vegetarians — and if we pose the question as to why the Essenes, Therapute and Ebionite Nazirenes were strict vegetarians?  Because this is necessary in order to become transformed into a Consecrated Living Temple that can communicate directly with God (see The Holographic Mind ).   Highly evolved spiritual Souls who live in accord with the Nazirene Vow,  neither cut their hair or shave their beard (see The Nazirene Vow And The Holographic Mind ).   As an example of the necessary lifestyle and mindset of the Essene Ebionites it is written about Jacob/James, the brother of Jesus that: “This apostle was consecrated from his mother’s womb. He drank neither wine nor fermented liquors, and abstained from animal food. A razor never came upon his head” (Eusebius’s Ecclesiastical History, p. 76).   Where the Jews who sacrificed animals in the Jerusalem Temple — remaining ignorant of the spiritual meaning of the scriptures — failing to comprehend that it is the lower animal nature of our consciousness that must be sacrificed (see Animal Sacrifice And The Living Temple ).

If you wanted to curse at an Essene, you would call him a Jew.  Why?  In the same way that dogs and swine are symbols that portray human character failings, when a Jew is portrayed in the scriptures, what is being portrayed is one who has received the Law of God, but continues to observe it outwardly in ritual and tradition — and because such a person lacks the necessary development of mind, is only able to utilize a fragment of their true potential of mind — which fragmented mind, causes them to be spiritually disenfranchised.  Because they read the biblical accounts in the manner of a history book — instead of accounts of mind and spirit — thereby throwing away the Key of Knowledge in their carnal interpretations — as stated by Eusebius in his Ecclestical History where he writes that: “Many were led astray by reading the allegorical contents of the scriptures literally in the method of the Pharisees and Sadducees”.

Someone who can be portrayed as a Jew is at an intermediate level where having received the Law (Torah) of God, they have not yet mentally and spiritually evolved to the level where they are able to use the scriptures for their intended purpose as the  Key of Knowledge to gain entrance into the Inner Kingdom — thereby enabling the prodigal son to return to his Source in Spiritual Eden.   In the same way that the Essenes who can be portrayed as Spiritual Israel were the authors of the scriptures used by the Jews — and the Essenes served as a Spiritual Sanctuary, fulfilling the role of spiritual healers or physicians for the Jews who were sincere seekers of Higher Truth.   With respect to the Essenes being the healers and physicians, Jesus himself said: “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”(Mark 2:17).   Before this verse can be understood we must first understand what it means to be Whole.   Which provokes the question: How is Wholeness achieved?   Contrary to the dogma of the Church, if Jesus is the physician, then Jesus himself attested to the fact that those who achieve and sustain a condition of Wholeness, do not need the physician — with Jesus himself stating that as a physician, Jesus did not come for the salvation of those who are Whole, but only those who are sick and in need of the physician.   And in total opposition to Church dogma, what this also means is that at the time of Jesus, there existed people who he portrayed as “whole [and] righteous” who did not need Jesus the physician.    When the historical man Jesus who was himself born an Essene totally prevailed in fulfilling the Law within himself — and in the very Words of God spoken to mankind, Jesus became the Anointed (Messiah/Christ) when the voice of God attested to the fact that Jesus became the Anointed (Messiah/Christ) when Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River: “Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee” (see TheTenWords.com) — what the original Gospels therefore stated was that Jesus was a holy man who became the Anointed (Messiah/Christ) at his baptism in the Jordan.   That the Ebionites who were condemned by the  later Roman Church who created the Jesus-god myth, were correct — and that the vast majority of Gentiles were too heathen and pagan to comprehend the teachings of Jesus and the original Gospel message — is a reality that the Dead Sea Scrolls have confirmed.  When Jesus became At-One with the Indwelling Logos/Son of God, this completion of the Soul-Journey was declared and set froth in those scriptures known to us today as the Gospels.  And being composed in the Sacred Language of Biblical Hebrew Characters which was used solely by the Essenes, these same Essene sources also composed the Gospels written in the same Living Biblical Hebrew Characters.  Which in conjunction with the findings of the scholars who worked on the Dead Sea Scrolls demonstrate that the New Covent and its Ebionite Nazirene foundation, was the Essene teachings brought to the highest of spiritual levels and completion.

Why is this fact of paramount importance for modern-day Christians?   In Hebrew the word Essene means Healer — which is synonymous with the Greek word Therapeute.   The Church historian Eusebius portrays the Therapeute/Essenes as the earliest of Christians — quoting Philo he writes:  “BUT our Lawgiver trained to community of living many thousands of his disciples, who are called Essenes because, as I suppose, of their holiness. They dwell in many cities of Judaea and many villages, and in large and populous societies.”   And this acknowledgement in conjunction with the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Biblical Hebrew Characters used in both the Old and New Covent scriptures makes the Encyclopedia Britannica’s article Therapeutes — which is a Greek word for healer and is synonymous with the meaning of the Hebrew word Essene — makes a profound statement with respect to the proper interpretation of both the Old and New Covenant scriptures where it is written: “Jewish sect of ascetics closely resembling the Essenes, believed to have settled on the shores of Lake Mareotis in the vicinity of Alexandria, Egypt, during the 1st century AD. The only original account of this community is given in De vita contemplativa (On the Contemplative Life), attributed to Philo of Alexandria. Their origin and fate are both unknown. The sect was unusually severe in discipline and mode of life. According to Philo, the members, both men and women, devoted their time to prayer and study. They prayed twice every day, at dawn and at evening, the interval between being spent entirely on spiritual exercise. They read the Holy Scriptures, from which they sought wisdom by treating them as allegorical, believing that the words of the literal text were symbols of something hidden”.

In the same way that the above statement of Jerome regarding the Gospels written in Biblical Hebrew Characters that “…and its text they related some one way and some another”, parallels the above statement how the Essene/Therapeute  …read the Holy Scriptures, from which they sought wisdom by treating them as allegorical, believing that the words of the literal text were symbols of something hidden”.   And it is important to recognize that these statements when placed side by side confirm the statement of the Apostle Peter as quoted by his disciple Clement in the Homilies that “…therefore great care is to be taken, that when the law of God is read, it be not read according to the understanding of our own mind. For there are many sayings in the divine Scriptures which can be drawn to that sense which every one has preconceived for himself; and this ought not to be done. For you ought not to seek a foreign and extraneous sense, which you have brought from without”.    What this means is that there can be no valid interpretation from a human perspective.   It means that all the historical interpretations set forth in the pulpits across Christendom, are all preaching grave error.   And these preachers of the Gospel are the blind guides that Jesus portrayed as leading the people in the wrong direction.   Therefore, in view of the fact that the true follower of Jesus is barred from seeking “…a foreign and extraneous sense, which you have brought from without” — as set forth by Peter in the Homilies of Clement it is portrayed as a sin to seek out any other teacher than the True Prophet — as seen in the words: “But the ways in which this garment may be spotted are these: If any one withdraw from God the Father and Creator of all, receiving another teacher besides Christ, who alone is the faithful and True Prophet” (see Baptism As A Divine Marriage) — means that because the modern Church has embraced the dogma of pagan Rome and rejects the foundational teaching to be taught only from the True Prophet within them (see The True Prophet ), they have caused themselves to be “…withdrawn from God the Father and Creator of all, receiving another teacher besides Christ”.   From an Original Gospel perspective, there can be no valid interpretation of the scriptures drawn from another person, a rabbi or teacher, an authority of a Church, or from one of the countless Bible commentaries.  Why?    Because the scriptures are not historical accounts — and every aspect of the scriptures are “allegorical …symbols of something hidden”.    Which is why Jesus had to open the mind of the disciples to the real and spiritual meaning of the allegorical scriptures — i.e., “Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures” (Luke 24:45).   And those who embrace the literal text is exactly as portrayed by Paul portrayed them as the “letter that killeth [and] Jewish folktales” (see 2 Cor 3:6; Titus 1:14).

In total agreement with Paul, the pre-Nicene Church Father Origen explained that “Scripture contains an unhistorical element in-woven with the history, in order that the worthlessness of the latter may drive us to seek the spiritual meaning” (Origen quoted under Origen Adamntius; The Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics).   Further explaining in De Principiis that: “Where the word found that things done according to the history could be adapted to these mystical senses, he made use of them concealing from the multitude the deeper meaning; but where in the narrative of the development of super-sensual things, there did not follow the performance of those certain events which were already indicated by the mystical meaning, the scripture interwove in the history the account of some event that did not take place, sometimes what could not have happened; sometimes what could but did not.”   Why?   Because the literal text of the scriptures is a quasi-historical facade that is necessary for the very limited instruction of the immature seeker — with the true spiritual meaning remaining preserved and concealed beneath the garb of allegorical symbols and catalysts.   And while the scriptures possess the ultimately important wisdom and knowledge that is relevant to all of mankind, its express purpose and objective is to bring about the necessary deepening and expansion of mind that enabled the seeker/disciple through the process of Anamnesis to fulfill the objective expressed in the article in the Encyclopedia Britannica under the heading, The History of Christian Mysticism, where it reads: “Although the essence of mysticism is the sense of contact with the transcendent, mysticism in the history of Christianity should not be understood merely in terms of special ecstatic experiences but as part of a religious process lived out within the context of the Christian community. From this perspective mysticism played a vital part in the early church. Early Christianity was a religion of the spirit that expressed itself in the heightening and enlargement of human consciousness”.   And from this perspective of reality, the only valid teacher and revealer of Truth is the True Prophet (a.k.a. Logos/Son of God) who was portrayed by the Apostle Peter as existing “…within the mind of every one of us, but in those who have no desire of the knowledge of God and His righteousness, He is inoperative; but He works in those who seek after that which is profitable to their souls, and kindles in them the light of knowledge. Wherefore seek Him first of all; and if you do not find Him, expect not that you shall learn anything from any other” (see The True Prophet ).    And when the historical man Jesus became At-One with the Indwelling Son of God or Logos, it was confirmation of the original position of the Ebionite Nazirene disciples of Jesus that he was in “…supernatural union of a man and God… In their eyes, Jesus of Nazareth was a mere mortal, the legitimate son of Joseph and Mary: but he was the best and wisest of the human race, selected as the worthy instrument to restore upon earth the worship of the true and supreme Deity. When he was baptized in the Jordan, the Christ, the first of the aeons, the Son of God himself, descended on Jesus in the form of a dove, to inhabit his mind, and direct his actions during the allotted period of his ministry” (Gibbon; The Decline & Fall of the Roman Empire, V.4, P.366 – see The Ebionite Nazirenes).

What this means is that the Old Testament is not the Jewish scriptures — and neither are the Jews the chosen people of God.  In fact, what is personified in the portrayal of a Jew in the scriptures, must be overcome — as seen in the death (transformation) of Judas (Jew).   Every aspect of our physical existence from the time we were conceived in the womb, and developed in accordance with a predefined genetic pattern, to our birth, our interaction with the forces of nature and the indigenous laws within which all of Creation is in a continual state of subjective movement, it is the true man of spiritual wisdom who has the perception to embrace the natural order of things. This wisdom was conveyed to us in the words of Jesus when he affirmed the need to keep the Law as seen when he said: “For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matt 5:18-20).  In our quest for greater understanding, we must ask what is being said to us in these words? What Jesus confirms is that every concept of the New Covenant is in total and complete harmony with the Law that was given to Moses, and that his followers must keep and observe the ordinances of the Law in a more pure and complete manner than the scribes and Pharisees.  And this is why Peter stated that there is no difference between the Old and New Testaments — i.e., “Moreover, if any one has been thought worthy to recognize both as preaching one doctrine, that man has been counted rich in God, understanding both the old things as new in time, and the new things as old”  (see The True (Unknown) Nature And Reality Of The Scriptures).

From an allegorical perspective, we must come to understand that it is not an accident that Jesus was crucified on the Passover. It was not an arbitrary occurrence that Jesus remained with his disciples for a period of forty days (Acts 1:3). Neither is it a measure of distance and time when after the period of forty days it is written that the trip to Jerusalem was said to be a Sabbath days journey (Acts 1:12). These occurrences are of the highest importance to the disciple who is seeking to be born in the spirit.  Christians must cease to read the scriptures in the error of the Sadducees and Pharisees! From a biblical perspective, it is not descriptive of an historical event that the disciples stayed in an upper room for a period of three days until the day of Pentacost. When the Bible states that there were one hundred and twenty names from which the replacement of Judas was drawn, what is conveyed in the numbers has more to do with the spiritualization and completion of the twelve — i.e., twelve times twelve — than of any historical enumeration of people. The presence of the mother and brethren, as well as all the other elements of the story, all hold a spiritual significance to those who possess the eyes to look beyond the cloak of the narrative. It is not by chance that the replacement for Judas — which if properly translated would be Judah, from which the name Jew is derived — was Matthias, which means the ”gift of God”. What is portrayed to the disciple is not an historical event, but more appropriately, the evolution of mind in its quest for completion.

What few Christians realize today is that during the second century the gospel of Luke was put though an extensive rewrite in order to obscure certain teachings of Jesus and create an anti-Jewish environment. Under the heading of Marcion (c.100-160) in the Encyclopedia Britannica we read that he was the “founder of a Christian sect, born in Sinope, Pontus (now Sinop, Turkey), and probably the son of the bishop of that city. He went to Rome about 140”, where he was for a time received as orthodox in his beliefs. It is important to realize that Marcion received his anti-Jewish sentiment from his father who was an authority in the Gentile church, and that Marcion himself was viewed as being orthodox by many Christians.  The Britannica then goes on to write that “The Marcionite sect, highly ascetic and celibate, grew rapidly until it was second in strength only to the original church; it had churches and an episcopal hierarchy and practiced the sacraments of baptism and the Eucharist… Marcion rejected the Old Testament and almost all of the New Testament… basing his teachings on ten of the Epistles of St. Paul and on an altered version of the Gospel of Luke… Marcionism flourished in the West until about the 4th century…”

Why was the Marcionite sect of the Gentile Church anti-Jewish? For much the same reason that if you wanted to curse at an Essene, you would call him a Jew — who in the scriptures the portrayal of a Jews was used as an (allegorical) symbol of those who have received the Law of God, but observed it outwardly in ritual and tradition — thereby throwing away the Key of Knowledge“How terrible it will be for you experts in religious law! For you hide the key to knowledge from the people. You don’t enter the Kingdom yourselves, and you prevent others from entering” (Luke 11:52).  Thus, in understanding these words spoken to the Pharisees, the questions must be asked: How did the Pharisees and Jewish authorities “…hide the key to knowledge from the people”?  Why did Jesus condemn the leaders of the Jews for failing to enter the Kingdom themselves? — i.e., “…You don’t enter the Kingdom yourselves”!   As Jews who are too carnal to understand the scriptures, they look for the Kingdom to come outwardly — failing to understand that the Kingdom can only come within you.  And how did the religious leaders of the Jews “…prevent others from entering?”   That the primary objective of the Gospel is to prepare and enable the seeker/disciple to enter the Kingdom that is within them, is further demonstrated in Jesus’ condemnation of the blind religious leaders as seen in the words: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to” (Matt 23:13 NIV).  Which means that the Kingdom of God is not something that will come if we wait for it — but rather, it is a reality which man must seek and find — within himself.   The Marcionite sect understood that the Jews were the blind guides leading the people in the wrong outward direction — and therefore, their god they worshiped was the Devil — i.e.,“Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:43-44 NKJ).   And from an Essene and Ebionite perspective, the Jews were the epitome of abject spiritual failure and what not to be with respect to the necessary transformation into Spiritual Israel.

In presenting a number of surviving quotations from the Original Hebrew Gospel, it states with respect to the Anointed (Messiah/Christ) prophets of the past in relation to Jesus where Jerome writes and quotes the Hebrew Original (Dialogue against Pelagius): “And in the same book: If thy brother (saith he) have sinned by a word and made thee amends, seven times in a day receive thou him. Simon his disciple said unto him: Seven times in a day? The Lord answered and said unto him: Yea, I say unto thee, unto seventy times seven times. For in the prophets also, after they were anointed by the Holy Spirit, the word of sin was found.”  In the Old Testament twenty one people were portrayed as being Anointed — which is of course the English translation of the Greek word Christ and the Hebrew word Messiah.  So, what then was the difference between the Anointed in the Old Testament and Jesus?  Thus, until the Anointing of the historical man Jesus, no one had totally fulfilled the Law within themselves that would enable them to receive the full Anointing of the Holy Spirit.   But in the case of Jesus who had fulfilled the Law (Torah) within himself, it was said in the Hebrew Gospel where Jerome writes (On Isa. xi.2): “(The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him) not partially as in the case of other holy men: but, according to the Gospel written in the Hebrew speech, which the Nazarenes read, ‘There shall descend upon him the whole fount of the Holy Spirit’. . . .In the Gospel I mentioned above, I find this written: And it came to pass when the Lord was come up out of the water, the whole fount of the Holy Spirit descended and rested upon him, and said unto him: My son, in all the prophets was I waiting for thee that thou shouldst come, and I might rest in thee. For thou art my rest, and thou art my first begotten son, that reignest for ever.”     Which is why it was the original Gospel position preserved by the Ebionite Nazirenes that Jesus “…was justified by fulfilling the Law. He was the Christ of God, since not one of the rest of mankind had observed the Law completely. Had any one else fulfilled the commandments of the Law, he would have been the Christ, for they assert that our Lord Himself was a man in like sense with all humanity (see Hippolytus, Refut. Omn. Haer. vii. 34).   The early Church write Hippolytus then states of this original Gospel teaching that the Ebionite Nazirenes were of the position that if any other of the prodigal sons  “…thus fulfill the law, they are able to become Christs”  (Hippolytus, Refut. Omn. Haer. vii. 34) — which is why Jesus commanded that his followers pick up the same (allegorical) cross as he did, and travail in TheWay.

By fulfilling the allegorical Law (Torah) within himself — transforming himself into The Final Temple (see The Gospels And The PreExistent Soul That Evolves To Perfection In Many Lifetimes ), Jesus became At-One with the Indwelling Logos/Son of God.  Thereby manifesting God in the flesh.  But this is the potential and destiny of all of mankind — i.e., “Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God'” (John 20:17 NIV).     That the historical Jesus was a true holy man who became the Anointed (Messiah/Christ) by fulfilling the Royal Law within himself, is attested to at Acts 2:22 where Jesus is portrayed as “a man, attested to you by God” — and this was demonstrated by God performing “mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst”.   If Jesus was himself God incarnate as believed by the later Romans, then these words portraying Jesus as a man approved by God through the works and wonders that God did through him, never would have been presented in this manner.   When the people questioned the source of Jesus’ words, he called himself a prophet: “So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house” (Matt 13:57). And not only did he call himself a prophet, but spoke of the crucifixion as his ultimate process of perfection:  “On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.  And He said to them, Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem” (Luke 13:31-33 NKJ).   And when the man approached Jesus calling him good teacher, Jesus rejected the title stating: “So Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God” (Mark 10:18 NKJ).   And when it was recognized that the man was asking Jesus about how to achieve eternal life — and that Jesus did not reply to believe in him (Jesus) as God — but to keep the Law and the Commandments — then the Ebionite position that Jesus became the Anointed (Messiah/Christ) by fulfilling the Law — and that it was necessary for Jesus’ disciples and followers to in like manner fulfill the Law and keep the Commandments — is exactly what Jesus the Anointed Prophet taught and expected of those who believed in what he taught.

Now if you add to the above the very words attributed to Jesus’, we can understand both the original Ebionite position that the followers of Jesus must keep the Law, and the profound spiritual ignorance which rejects the requirement of actions as an integral part of the equation: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.  Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matt 5:17-26 NIV).

Prior to the scriptures being edited to support the Pagan doctrines of Rome (see http://BibleCorruption.com ), the words spoken to Jesus by the Father at his baptism in the Jordan was: “Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee”  (see http://TheTenWords.com ).   And this original statement is further confirmed in both the Book of Acts, as well as the Epistle to the Hebrews — wherein, with regard to the passage at Hebrews 1:5, The Adam Clark Commentary writes: “This most important use of this saying has passed unnoticed by almost every Christian writer which I have seen; and yet it lies here at the foundation of all the apostle’s proofs. If Jesus was not thus the Son of God, the whole Christian system is vain and baseless…”   Stating that if what Paul states is true — which the scriptures confirm (see http://TheTenWords.com ), then “…the whole Christian system is vain and baseless…”.   That Christianity has virtually nothing in common with the Original Teachings is explored at The Original Teachings Have Nothing In Common With Church Dogma ).   Why can’t the above be understood by either the the vast majority of Jews and Christians?  Because they throw away the Key of Knowledge in their carnal outward interpretations of the scriptures.

In order to begin to tap into the Source of All-Knowing Knowledge within us, the seeker/disciple must begin to bring about the expansion and deepening of the mind and consciousness.  The scriptures are “allegorical …symbols of something hidden” , and cannot be “…read according to the understanding of our own mind” — which attempts to interpret the scriptures in the manner of the Jews — i.e., outwardly as actual historical accounts.  Because the scriptures are allegorical catalysts that when used in the proper environment where the person has become the “good ground” in the parable of the Sower and the Seed, it is necessary to develop the mind to enable the person to learn and be taught by the Indwelling Logos/Son of God.   The Essene/Therapute/Ebionite/Nazirenes who were the authors of the Old and New Covenant scriptures, did not consider themselves Jews — because the Jews were spiritually disenfranchised and too carnal to understand the proper use of the scriptures.  Thus, when the Pharisees asked Jesus if he was the Anointed (Messiah/Christ) who was appointed to come in the scriptures, they wanted to know when he would inaugurate the Kingdom upon the earth.  The reply of Jesus demonstrated the inability of the Jews to understand the spiritual meaning of the scriptures that was understood by the Essene/Therapute with respect to being “allegorical …symbols of something hidden” that could “…not [be] read according to the understanding of our own mind.”   And this was clear in the statement of Jesus on the coming of the Kingdom when he replied to the Jews: “And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes not with observation: Neither shall they say, See here! or, see there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20-21).   If the words of Jesus are true — and the Kingdom is within you — then the question that both the Jews and Christians should be asking, is how must the Kingdom be entered?   And while this was understood by the Essene/Therapute and Ebionite Nazirenes, because both the Jews and the Gentile Christians are blind to the true spiritual meaning of the scriptures — subjecting the written word that Paul portrays as the “letter that killeth [and] Jewish folktales” (see 2 Cor 3:6; Titus 1:14) — and failing to understand them as “allegorical …symbols of something hidden” — both the Jews and the Christians look for the kingdom that can never come upon the earth outwardly — and can only come within one’s own mind and being.  The answer to the enigma is found in the proper application of the Key of Knowledge by turning the scriptures within your own mind and being — i.e., “How terrible it will be for you experts in religious law! And how did the religious leaders of the Jews “…prevent others from entering?”   That the primary objective of the Gospel is to prepare and enable the seeker/disciple to enter the Kingdom, is further demonstrated in Jesus’ condemnation of the blind religious leaders as seen in the words: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to” (Matt 23:13 NIV).  Which means that the Kingdom of God is not something that will come if we wait for it — but rather, it is a reality which man must seek and find — within himself (see The Fatal Error Of The Church ).

It was the correct perceptive-understanding of author and visionary Philip K. Dick when he once wrote with respect to the original disciples of Jesus that:  “Christ …taught his followers how to enter the kingdom while still alive, where other mystery religions only bring about amnesis: knowledge of it at the ‘other time’ in ‘the other realm,’ not here.  He causes it to come here, and is the living agency to the Sole Good God (i.e. the Logos).”  And in the Gospels this entrance into the Inner Kingdom by the disciples is portrayed as being In The House with the Lord.  That the leaders among the Jews had alienated themselves from the Inner Kingdom — and they attempted to observe the scriptures in outward ritual and tradition — is the very reason why Jesus condemned them as heretics who hid the Key of Knowledge from the people, and in their carnal interpretations they “…prevent others from entering”.   Because the carnal Jews were under the control of what Jesus portrayed in the parable of the prodigal son as the “Citizen …of the Far Country”, they remained blind to the Inner Kingdom and the true meaning of the scriptures — i.e., “…but unto them that are without, all things are done in parables: that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand”.    And the fact that those who were the leaders of the people were blind to the Kingdom, and unable to spiritually hear and understand, made it impossible to even begin to compose scriptures where the higher reality of the soul and the Mysteries of the Kingdom were more plainly presented to the reader.
